Da Nang retail sales volumes climbed 5.3% in November
The Da Nang Statistics Bureau has reported that retail sales volumes rose by 5.3% in November in contrast to October, down by 0.3% when compared with the same period last year, according to a statistical bulletin. Da Nang's retail sales reached a total value of 5,284 billion VND in November. A hike in revenue was recorded in sales of food, motor vehicle repair service, gemstones and other items.

Between January and November, retail sales values went down by 5% in comparison to the year-ago period to reach 50,370 billion VND.
The biggest plunge in revenue was observed in such items as household appliances (15.6%), garments (12.1%), wooden products and construction materials (7.7%).
Meanwhile, the increase was recorded in such categories as cultural and educational products, ( 3.6%), gasoline and oil ( 4.9%), and other goods (7%).
The total revenue generated from accommodation and catering services in November climbed by 31.8% in contrast to October to reach 1,220 billion VND, hereby bringing the 11-month period’s figure to 11,938 billion VND, fulfilling only 62.8% of the figure reported in the same period last year.
In detail, the sales of accommodation and catering services reached a total value of 3,122 billion VND and 8,816 billion VND, respectively, hereby fulfilling only 47.6% and 70.9% of the figures in the same period last year, severally.
These aforementioned figures show the city is on track to bounce back from the adverse impacts of the coronavirus pandemic and natural disasters.
A series of attractive consumption stimulate and promotion programmes conducted in recent times have significantly enabled the local market to make encouraging restoration.
