Marketing Da Nang's tourism to Japan
How to improve the images of Da Nang as a tourism destination for Japanese travellers in a bid to increase Japanese visitor numbers in Da Nang after Viet Nam opens its borders and resumes all international flights following the successful containment of the global COVID-19 pandemic in the near future was put into discussions at the Monday travel webninar.
Promoting Da Nang as a heritage hub in Central Viet Nam, a safe and attractive Vietnamese destination for Japanese travellers in 2021, the virtual event was within the framework of JOTC (Japan Outbound Travel Club) Destination Webinar Series, which is being organised by the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) in November and December.
Addressing the webinar, Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism Nguyen Xuan Binh highlighted the JOTC Destination Webinar Series in facilitating Da Nang and of its neighbours namely Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Nam to promote their tourism products and services to Japanese tourists.
At the seminar, participants involved in intensive discussions about three tourism products attractive to Japanese travellers, namely academic tourism, golf tours and M.I.C.E (Meetings-Incentives-Conferences-Exhibitions) trips.
The JOTC Destination Webinar Series is available on the official website of the JATA at https://www.jata-net.or.jp/membership/topics/2020/201019_jotcwebinarinfo.html. This tourism campaign has till date attracted the participation of 37 global destinations with a total of more than 23,600 participants.
