The Da Nang Department of Tourism, the Da Nang International Airport and the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation JSC (AHT) have together signed a cooperative agreement on leveraging Da Nang tourism over the 2021 -2025 period.

Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Nguyen Xuan Binh highlighted the importance of the signing of the agreement in promoting collaboration between tourism and aviation, thereby driving the growth of Da Nang, and Central Viet Nam at large.

In the next 5 years, tourism marketing campaigns will be conducted at both home and overseas in a bid to promote Da Nang as a dynamic, friendly and safe destination for domestic and international travellers.

The focus will be on opening new non-stop flights from Da Nang to destinations across Viet Nam and the world at large in tandem with ensuring the city’s strict compliance with the national regulations and guidelines on the pandemic prevention.

As of late 2019, there had been a combined total of 10 domestic routes connecting Da Nang with other nationwide destinations with a frequency of 640 flights/week, and 35 international routes with a frequency of 496 flights/week.

Over the past years, close cooperation between the Da Nang Department of Tourism and Da Nang International Airport has yielded fruitful results.

In particular, Da Nang International Airport administration partnered with the Chubu Centrair Airport in Japan to create a plan to launch daily non-stop flights connecting Da Nang and Nagoya.

In August 2020, great efforts among relevant agencies were made to ensure that 7 flights bringing all stuck tourists in Da Nang back to Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City were safe and complied with the national regulations about pandemic prevention.
