Among the air passengers, Ms Nguyen Quynh Chi, a Da Nang native who now resides in Ha Noi’s Ba Dinh District was deeply touched by the warm welcome given by representatives from Da Nang authorities for her return to hometown.

She planned to spend the three-day Da Nang trip visiting local attractions and meeting with her childhood friends and close relatives.

This year, the Da Nang tourism industry will gear up promoting the domestic tourist market, with the priority given to create  even more special product packages such as M.I.C.E (Meetings-Incentives-Conferences-Exhibitions), and cultural tourism.

“We expect that such a warm welcome to the first air passengers, along with the upcoming travel stimulus activities, will create a momentum to stimulate travel demand for the rebound and revitalisation of the domestic tourist market this year”, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Nguyen Xuan Binh said.
