The deadline for startups across Da Nang to submit their applications for financial support from Da Nang government to conduct their innovative schemes will be extended to 15 January, instead of 20 December as initially slated, the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology announced,

The beneficiaries must be innovative startups that showcase the high ability to grow rapidly based on the promotion of intellectual property and technological innovations, and advanced business models, and have the operation duration of no more than five years since the date of receiving business registration certificates issued by the municipal Department of Planning and Investment.

Also, innovative startups selected by Da Nang Department of Science and Technology under Article 20, Section 2, Chapter 4 in Decree No. 39 / 2018 / ND-CP dated 11 March 2018 can be eligible for the assistances.

As stipulated, the maximum does not exceed 80 million VND / startup business to partly cover costs on payrolls for employees, the use of innovative startup services such as training, marketing, IT applications, inventions and the evaluation of scientific and technological research activities.

A 50% subsidy will be applicable to expenses on the use of digital space, online support services, trial production, technological improvement, and supporting  activities on quality measurement standards, research and development (R&D) and technology transfer.
