Nearly 1.5 billion VND in funding for driving technological innovation of Da Nang businesses
Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh, on Thursday, awarded a total of nearly 1.5 billion VND in aid from the Da Nang Science and Technology Development Fund to the Ha Giang Phuoc Tuong Mechanical Engineering JSC and QCM Technologies JSC, both based in the city. The money will be spent on supporting these science and technology (S&T) companies to drive their technological innovations, with a focus on researching, designing and manufacturing equipment boasting advanced technology.

Chairman Chinh highlighted the significance of financial support for Da Nang businesses in boosting their technology innovations and business management capacity, hereby ensuring their sustainable development, bringing up higher revenues for them, and enabling them to make more contributions to the city budget.
The financial assistance also significant encourages Da Nang businesses to continue to innovate their technologies to create high-quality products, which are highly competitive and affordably-paid in the market.
The Ha Giang Phuoc Tuong Mechanical Engineering JSC received 930 million VND to embark upon researching, designing and manufacturing equipment containing advanced technologies.
Ha Giang Phuoc Tuong is the first mechanical enterprise in Viet Nam to have created 80mm thick sheet steel cyclone machine, plus chucking out world-class quality products which boast high competitive ability and as good as imported ones.
Meanwhile, 524 million VND went to the QCM Technologies JSC for the manufacture of the magnetic toaster. This is a modern industrial-scale baking production line with an operating capacity of 195kW and a working temperature hovering from 170 - 200 degrees Celsius controlled by easy-to-use software with the user-friendly interface in Vietnamese.
Till date, the machine has been put into operation at a company specialising in making cakes for exporting to Japan.
It is known that, since 2017, through the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, 34 fully eligible companies across the city receive a combined total of 6,136 billion VND in aid from the Da Nang Science and Technology Development Fund to drive their technological innovations, with a focus on designing technological equipment, and creating highly-competitive products. This is one of the municipal government-issued most remarkable support policies to help local businesses recover from coronavirus crisis.
