In these days leading to the International Women’s Day (8 March), many flower and gift shops, supermarkets and jewelry stores across Da Nang are offering great deals on their products in order to stimulate sales for this special day.

A huge selection of beautiful flowers for International Women’s Day is offering

Flowers are indispensable gifts on International Women's Day, and therefore a huge selection of flowers are offering across Da Nang. At this time, the purchasing power of fresh flowers at Da Nang shops is increasing sharply.

Many flower shops which are located at the Han Market, and along such major streets as Tran Phu, Trung Nu Vuong, and Dong Da, are offering different kinds of flowers.

A wholesale fresh flower shop located on Pham Phu Thu, Hai Chau District, has seen significant increase in the consumption of all types of flowers.

On Friday, the flower price inched up to 3,000 - 5,000 VND / type as compared to last week but still cheaper a lot than that recorded at recent Tet breaks. The prices of course vary according to the type of flower.

The wholesale price of a 50- rose bunch is now 300,000 - 400,000 VND, whilst sunflowers are offered at 40,000 VND / bunch, lilies with 100,000- 110,000 VND / bunch and carnation 45,000 VND / bunch.

In addition to the aforementioned flower types, there are new and quite attractive blossoms, like Japanese chrysanthemum offered at 150,000 VND / bunch, Tamarix ramosissima set at 170,000 VND / bunch, cymbidiums priced at between 110,000 and 150,000 VND/bunch, and oncidium hovering at 180,000 - 220,000 VND / bunch.

The International Women’s Day also offers the chance for fashion and cosmetics stores cross Da Nang to stimulate purchasing power that is quiet after Tet breaks.

Such fashion brands highly familiar to women as Pantio, Ivy Moda, Elise and Merriman all have highly enticing promotions to stimulate buyers, including 30% -70% discounts  depending on the customer's purchase package.

In a similar vein, many stores of gold, silver, gemstones and jewelry have launched discount offers targeting women.

From 26 February to 9 March, the chain of Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) gold shop is offering a collection of impressively coloured stone jewelry with hundreds of sophisticated designs made from  ruby, sapphire and topaz.

Besides, there are luxury Italian jewelry product lines, gift packages of up to 7 million VND each for orders of gold jewelry and a 30% discount for thousands of gold jewelry products, 3D rose greeting cards for PNJ clients on this special occasion.

Meanwhile, other items also selected as gifts on the occasion of the International Women’s Day are beauty and health care devices such as hair dryers, humidifiers, yogurt makers, juicers and blenders whose prices range from a few hundreds to several millions of VND.

Smart phones and tablets produced by such internationally renowned brands as Apple, Samsung and Oppo are also offered at affordably paid prices of 3 - 10 million VND

According to Da Nang businesses, after Tet breaks, the International Women’s Day is considered an effective time for time to stimulate consumer demand for a much-awaited hike in sales.
