Work starts on Hoa Vang logistics service centre in fourth quarter of 2021
The Da Nang Department of Transport is partnering with the Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company in implementing investment procedures for the development of an 800 billion VND Hoa Vang logistics service centre on an area of 20 hectares in Hoa Nhon Commune. Work is slated to commence in the fourth quarter of this year.
The Hoa Vang Logistics Service Centre will specialise in organising the transportation of goods from manufacturers to consumers, storing cargo and container freight, acting as a broker for the consumption of goods in bonded warehouses, and brokering assessment, insurance, along with recycling, reinforcing and, packaging goods.
Additionally, Da Nang also plans to develop dry ports in Hoa Vang District to directly serve logistics centres and industrial parks (IPs) across the city.
These dry ports (sometimes referred to as inland ports) are inland intermodal terminals directly connected by road or rail to a seaport, operating as centres for the transshipment of sea cargo to inland destinations.
There will be the planned logistics centres for Lien Chieu, new Kim Lien Railway Station, the Da Nang High-Tech Park, Hoa Nhon IP, Tien Sa Port and the aviation industry.
