The contest is running from April 8 until June 8, for architects, artists, and students from the faculties of architecture, fine arts, and graphics at junior colleges and universities across the country.
Under the event’s rules, contestants can build up their own ideas from Da Nang-based tourist sites, including beaches, Son Tra Peninsula, Han River’s banks, eco-tourism sites, and community-based tourism venues, and other public spaces proposing by themselves.
Entries must ensure creativity and artistry in design and honour the values proving Da Nang’s stature as a dynamic, creative, modern and attractive city.
In addition, the design solution must be highly feasible, easy to implement with available materials which can withstand natural impacts, especially the marine environment.
Eleven awards worth a combined total of VND 100 million, comprising cash and tourism service coupons, will be given out to outstanding design entries.
