Japan's MAEDA Corporation shows keen interest to invest in Da Nang
Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh and leaders of the authorities of Da Nang Hi-tech Park and Industrial Parks on Thursday, met with representatives of Japan’s MAEDA Corporation to discuss investment opportunities in Da Nang.

The hosts introduced their Japanese guests to three new IPs to be developed in Da Nang in the future, namely Hoa Ninh and Hoa Cam IPs, plus the 2nd stage of Hoa Cam IP, all of which cover a total area of more than 800 ha. In which, the 2nd stage of Hoa Cam IP is planned to cover an area of 120 ha.
Da Nang Hi-tech Park is one of the three national-level multi-purpose hi-tech parks in Viet Nam. The park is setting its target of becoming smart, and a national-level hub for innovation and entrepreneurship, thereby creating extra motivation for driving Da Nang’s growth.
During his meeting with Japanese guests, Vice Chairman Minh highlighted the advantages of investment environment of Da Nang.
Mr Minh vowed that Da Nang government always welcomes foreign investors, as well as create the most favourable conditions for them to seek investment opportunities in Da Nang and operate effectively in the city.
For his part, Regional Sales Director for Asia Kazuhiko Onimaru said that MAEDA Corporation shows strong interest in developing the infrastructure in Da Nang-based IPs and investment in Da Nang Hi-tech Park.
The Japanese guest also showed MAEDA Corporation’s willingness to make its contribution to the overall economic growth of Da Nang in the future.
MAEDA Corporation is a Japan-based company engaged in construction business, civil engineering business, manufacturing business, infrastructure management business, real estate business and service business.
MAEDA began constructing high-rise apartment buildings with reinforced concrete structures in 1991, actively began using precast concrete, and established its presence as a leading builder of high-rise apartment buildings. The company built a number of major structures including the Fukuoka Dome (completed in 1993), the Tennozu Central Tower (completed in 1994), the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant (completed in 1995), and the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line (completed in 1998). Maeda received the Japan Quality Medal in 1995 and obtained certification under ISO 9001, an international quality control standard, in 1996.
Overseas, MAEDA built the Kap Shui Mun Bridge in Hong Kong (completed in 1997) and the Hong Kong International Airport (completed in 1998).
In Viet Nam, MAEDA has implemented such projects as Dami Hydropower Project, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Terminal Building, and Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line 1 (1b Section).
