According to the Da Nang Department of Transport, 8,901 out of the total 8,912 drivers of taxies, contracted vehicles with under nine seats, ride-hailing tech services, and delivery people on motorbikes, known locally as “shippers,” across the city have tested negative for COVID-19, making up for 99.9% of the total.

In particular, 100% of the total drivers of taxi and contracted vehicles with under nine seats accessed tests for the virus

Meanwhile, 5,226 out of the total 5,237 ride-hailing drivers and have tested for the virus, reaching 99.8%. Only 11 remaining ones are scheduled to test for the virus soon.

For the time being, passenger transport and goods delivery services operated via the aforementioned means of transport remain suspended amid the COVID-19 threats.

Businesses that apply technologies to launch transport services such as Grab, Be, Gojek, FastGo, MyGo, Vato, Now, Loship, Baemin and Ahamove and food delivery service providers have halted their app operations.
