The Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade on Tuesday asked all industrial enterprises outside the Hi-tech Park and industrial zones (IZs) to apply medical interventions in line with the regulations of the Ministry of Health.

In detail, those who work in the same workshop or room as COVID-19 infected patients, and people who are placed at a high risk of infections, and have a high level of contact and a lot of physical movements are considered as the close contacts of positive cases and must be subject to concentrated quarantine measures.

Those who work in the same factory or company (not in the same workshop or room) as a person infected with SARS-CoV-2 must actively report to the local healthcare authorities, and self-isolate at home for 21 days.

Enterprises, factories and other manufacturing establishments where COVID-19 cases are reported must be responsible for sending a list of workers who are not subject to medical quarantine to the district-level healthcare centres (certified by the business and the local government).

Besides, they must conduct virus screening tests for their employees at least twice.

At the same time, these businesses must set up a ‘COVID-19 safety teams’ to monitor their employees’ strict compliance with coronavirus prevention rules during and outside working hours.

Previously, the Authority of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones had asked workshops/production lines/production teams/working positions in factories, enterprises and production facilities inside the Hi-tech Park and IZs to establish at least one COVID-19 safety group.
