It is a must-do to absolutely ensure the strict practice of compulsory measures to control COVID-19 at construction sites, in tandem with avoiding any delays in construction progress, demanded Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang during his onsite visits to the sites of a street and a bridge spanning the Co Co River and the Tuyen Son - Tuy Loan riverside route on Friday.

As per request of Secretary Quang, contractions must ask construction workers to keep a safe distance from others while being at work in order to avoid any large gatherings. Importance should be attached to ensuring sufficient manpower and equipment to promote construction progress as initially committed.

Construction workers must make health declarations and have their body temperatures measured before entering the construction site, and wear face masks at all times when in the construction site in a bid to reduce a risk of infections.

As part of the Da Nang Sustainable Development Project, the construction of a street and a bridge spanning the Co Co River has a total length of more than 1.2km. It begins at intersection of Tran Dai Nghia and Vo Chi Cong streets and reach the ending point at the intersection of Vo Qui Huan and Co Co riverside road in Tan Tra Resettlement Area.

The project is developed by a joint cooperation between by Xuan Quang Joint Stock Company, 75 Bridge Construction Joint Stock Company and the Asia Pacific Engineering Consultants.

Work started on the VND 180.5 billion project on December 21, 2019, and it is expected to be completed on May 27, 2021.

Till date, 78% of the total construction work has reached completion. For the time being, the project is progressing on track.

During his inspection of the Tuyen Son - Tuy Loan riverside route project, the municipal Party chief urged the Cam Le and Hoa Vang authorities to take drastic action to clear any obstacles to the construction progress, especially issues arising from site clearance and compensation, in a bid to keep project on schedule.

Boasting a total length of 7,021 km, the Tuyen Son - Tuy Loan riverside route passed through the wards of Hoa Tho Tay and Hoa Tho Dong in Cam Le District and the communes of Hoa Chau and Hoa Nhon in Hoa Vang District.

The project’s management board has committed itself to completing the project by the end of this year.
