The Da Nang government is now inviting domestic and foreign individuals and organisations that are architectural design consultants or construction planners to compete in a contest aimed at seeking best architectural ideas for the expansion of Hai Chau District Administrative Centre with a total prize of VND 500 million.

The project, planned at 270 Tran Phu, Phuoc Ninh Ward, Hai Chau District with a total area of 8,010 m², is expected to consist of the existing Hai Chau District Administrative Centre covering about 4,925 m², the existing traffic island site with about 2,396 m² and the planned-to-be-relocated houses nearby with a total area of about 691 m².

The planned project will border a 3m wide alley to the north, the current residential area to the west, Le Dinh Duong Street to the south and Tran Phu Street to the east.

As for the contest’ timelines, the deadline for the submission of applications is June 1.

Preliminary review on entries and the sending of invitations to eligible entries will be on June 2.

Entrants will make designs from June 5 to July 14, and then submit their complete entries on July 15.

Preliminary examination of the entries will be conducted from July 16 to 20.

Contestants will make presentations on its entries from July 21 to August 4.

The total value of prizes and financial aids is VND 500 million. In detail, there will be the first prize of VND300 million, the second prize of VND100 million and the third prize of VND50 million.

Besides, each of the five high-scoring entries advancing to the final round, except for 3 prize-winning ones, will receive VND10 million each.
