Da Nang has named among the top Vietnamese localities having the highest per-capita income in 2020, according to the General Statistics Office of Viet Nam.

On average a citizen of Da Nang earned VND 5.284 million per month in 2020. Da Nang ranked 6^th among 63  cities and provinces across Viet Nam for the highest per capita monthly income, and the city took first place in North Central Coast and the Central Coast of Viet Nam. 

Binh Duong topped the national 2020 rankings with more than VND7 million per person per month, followed by Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, Dong Nai, and Bac Ninh.

The 2020 living standards survey was conducted nation-wide with a sample size of 46,995 households.

The annual survey collects information to be a base for assessment of living standard, poverty and the gap between the rich and the poor serving for policy making, planning and national targeted programmes of the party and the State in order to continuously improve the living standard of citizen across the country.
