Temporary suspension of all subsidised intra-city bus services across Da Nang came into effect on May 10 until further notice as part of the city's COVID-19 preventive measures, following a freshly-written request from the municipal Department of Transport.

The Da Nang Traffic Light and Public Transport Operation Centre must cooperate with the Quang An 1 Industrial Joint Stock Company, the operators of the subsidised intra-city bus services, to monitor the implementation of the temporary suspension order, and promptly report any arising problems (if any) to the municipal Department of Transport for handling.

In a similar move, all buses operating on the Quang Nam - Da Nang adjacent route must also halt their operation.

Under the negative influence of COVID-19 resurgence, the number of commuters travelling on subsidised intra-city buses from May 1 to 8 was very low, reaching only an average of 3.5 passengers per trip. In particular, on May 8, there were only two passengers per trip, whilst some routes saw no passengers.
