The Da Nang-based EM&AI JSC has entered the top 5 of AI Accelerator Challenge 2021 (AAC 2021) organised by the Viet Nam Silicon Valley Foundation (VSV Foundation), entering 3-month intensive bootcamp programme with access to mentoring and up to VND 200 million in no equity funding.

Established in 2017, EM&AI has risen to fame as one of Viet Nam’s pioneering companies in promoting intensive research into state-of-art Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology, the hardest branch of artificial intelligence (AI) for delivering better customer experience.

Till date, EM&AI has developed four main products, namely Virtual Agent, an AI platform that powers automated conversations between a business and its customers  through hybrid chat; Virtual QC, an automated call assessment solution based on EM&AI’s proprietary machine learning technologies; Voicebot for delivery, a solution that automatically notifies the delivery time, helping transport companies control service quality; and Voicebot for debt collections, an ultimate solution for financial businesses.

The above-mentioned products were built on core technologies developed by EM&AI such as natural language processing, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and emotion analysis.

Spearheaded by the Ministry of Science & Technology (MOST) with support from the Aus4Innovation Programme, AAC 2021 is a brand-new national-wide competition calling for all innovators to share their bright ideas for rolling out artificial intelligence-driven innovation into new areas of industry, fields of science, and the day-to-day lives.

AAC 2021 provides an exciting opportunity for innovators to receive seed funding and incubation training to help them maximize their chances of success.

Previously, EM&AI was honoured at the 2021 Sao Khue Awards Ceremony which was organised in Ha Noi last month by the Viet Nam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA).

In addition, the company finished as a runner-up at TECHFEST 2020 hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and won the top prize in the Startup Pitching 2020 contest organised by the Viet Nam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA), and the Innovative Financial Technology Solution award at the Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB)- held Open API Challenge contest early December 2020.

Also encouragingly, EM&AI stands proudly as the only Vietnamese company to secure a berth in the top 30 prospective startups at the Global Open Innovation Korea contest hosted by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) in late October 2020.
