Besides, delivery people on rudimentary vehicles, two-wheel taxi-motorbikes, known locally as ‘shippers’, will also enjoy the lifting of suspension.
Despite operation resumption, the drivers of the above-mentioned vehicles and ‘shippers’ must make commitment to strictly adhering to COVID-19 control measures and regulations issued by the ministries of Health and Transport.
In addition, drivers who have tested negative for the coronavirus for the first time are required to make daily electronic health declarations and use the Bluezone app when operating.
At the same time, they shall refuse to serve if customers fail to comply with the city's COVID-19 rules.
Meanwhile, application software suppliers are recommended to offer accounts to drivers who have tested negative for the virus, and add the feature of displaying their test results to passengers.
Also, a list of drivers must be submitted to the Department of Information and Communications to serve tracing and testing when necessary.
In particular, taxies and contract vehicles with under nine seats, including ride-hailing apps like GrabCar are prohibited from carrying more than half of their designed capacity.
