COVID pandemic expected to cost Da Nang Airport an estimated VND 12.5 billion in 2021
The Da Nang Airport Services Joint Stock Company (MASCO) has released financial projections in the 2021-2025 period that show MASCO will lose at an estimated VND 12.5 billion because of the prolonged decline in commercial aviation traffic resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
MASCO forecast a rebound in profit from 2022, and it expects profits of VND 17 billion, VND 3.5 billion, VND 8.8 billion and VND 15 billion in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 respectively.
During the 2021-2025 period, MASCO has made plans for restructuring the investment portfolio with top priority given to pouring capital across the air transport value chain which serves as links between airports in Central Viet Nam. In addition, the focus will be on restructuring some services, including taxi and driver training, due to poor operation results.
