Data collected between May 24 and June 2 by the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade shows that the rate of QR code entry card users to the four wet markets, namely Han, Con, Dong Da and Hoa Cuong Wholesale only stood at 2.16%, while the figure of paper entry cards to the four venues accounted for 97.84%.

The Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade is urging authorities in Hai Chau 1, Hai Chau 2, Thanh Binh, Thuan Phuoc, and Hoa Cuong Nam wards, Hai Chau District, where the four wet markets are located in, to raise public awareness about using QR code entry cards to these venues instead of paper ones in an attempt to increase application use, and save money on printing costs of paper  cards. In addition, the use of QR code entry card to wet markets is very effective to contact tracing if postive cases of COVID-19 are reported in any markets in the city.
