290 violations of trade regulations defected in Da Nang in first half of 2021
The Da Nang Market Management Bureau, in the first half of this year, levied a total amount of more than VND750 million in fines on 290 violation cases across the city on the trade in prohibited, fake, counterfeit and poor-quality items, acts going against the regulations on goods labelling and committing illegal trade activities.
During the 6-month review period, the city’s market situation was relatively stable. All markets, supermarkets, convenience stores, groceries shops ensured the abundant supplies of goods, thus meeting the shopping needs of local customers.
No cases of sudden hikes in prices, speculation and hoarding were registered in the city.
The past 6 months also saw a decrease in the number of cases involved in smuggling, commercial frauds and the trade in counterfeit goods tend as compared to the same period of the previous years.
The local market management teams and other functional units closely monitored of the observance of the food hygiene and safety regulations at such venues as food and beverage shops, markets, slaughterhouses, restaurants, alcohol production and trading establishments.
Acting Director of the Da Nang Market Management Bureau Tran Phuoc Tri said that, in the coming time, focus will be on increasing inspections to detect and handle any violations of trade regulations in light of new fraudulent tricks turning very sophisticated and unpredictable.
