Under the Da Nang People's Committee –issued plan set for this year, more than 90% of the total production, business and service establishments, tourist sites, markets, supermarkets, commercial centre and schools across the city will be guided to perform the domestic solid waste sorting at source.
Also, the rate of domestic solid waste being reused and recycled will reach more than 12%.

As for task groups to be deployed this year, functional agencies will set a loser sight on releasing instructions on garbage classification, building trash collection and management systems, as well as effectively inspecting, detecting and handling violations.
In line with the project ‘Building Da Nang into an Environmentally-friendly City’ for the 2021 – 2030 period, by 2030, 100% of the local households will carry out waste sorting at source. Also, more than 97% of collected and treated domestic solid waste will meet the prescribed standards. The rate of hazardous waste collected and treated in line with the regulations will reach 100%.
