Housing project for athletes at Hoa Xuan Sports Complex to be built
The Da Nang People's Committee has already made a proposal to the municipal People’s Council on approving the construction of a housing project for athletes at the Hoa Xuan Sports Complex, Cam Le District, at a total cost of over VND139.3 billion funded by the municipal budget.
The objective of the project is to ensure accommodation and training facilities for local athletes, thus step by step improving the city's athlete selection and training system.
In parallel, the new development aims to facilitate athletes and coaches to feel secure whilst practicing, enhance the quality of their performances, thereby contributing to promoting the development of the city's high-performance sports.
The project will feature a 5-storey housing block exclusively for professional athletes which covers a construction area of 980m2 and a total gross internal floor area of 4,828m2. The block comprises 62 rooms with self-contained toilets, administrative and executive areas, dining areas and a hall with a capacity of 300 people.
Meanwhile, the 8-storey block for use by semi-professional athletes, covering a construction area of 980m2 and a total gross internal floor area of 7,678m2, will consist of 126 rooms, along with functional and auxiliary areas.
The 8-storey common-space block positioned between the 2 blocks, covering a construction area of 180m2 and a total gross internal floor area of 1,440m2, is designed with connecting corridors, resting and relaxing areas and stairs.
The project will be developed and managed by the Da Nang Management Board of Industrial and Civil Engineering Construction and Investment Projects over the 2020 – 2025 period.
