As part of the Da Nang-based soon-to-be- developed large-scale Nam O eco-tourism area project, a coastal erosion-resistant embankment system will be constructed at a total cost of nearly VND30 billion funded by the municipal budget and the Trung Thuy Da Nang Joint Stock Company under the Vietnamese Trung Thuy Group (TTG), the project’s developer.

The 317m-long embankment route with a reinforced concrete structure will stretch from Whale worship shrine to the south of the Nam O rapids in Lien Chieu District.

In particular, under the new development, a 5.5m-wide public path for use by pedestrians and bicycle riders, with a 2.5m-wide sidewalk, will be built on one side of the Nam O tourism area.

The project will be developed and managed by the Da Nang Management Board of Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Projects during the 2021 – 2022 period.
