Da Nang Department of Tourism is urging owners of serviced accommodation establishments across the city to take steps to prevent COVID-19 spreading in their venues.

The move came after the Department’s inspectors had imposed strict penalties on 11 non-compliant establishments. Included were fines of VND 65 million which were levied on 6 hotels for flouting COVID safety rules.

These venues are asked to fight the virus with the motto “fighting the epidemic is like fighting against the enemy.”

The owners of these establishments are urged to make every effort to ensure that all their staff members and guests must follow best practices, including the 5K recommendations of the Ministry of Health, to make their venues COVID- secure during the pandemic.

They must require their guests to complete a compulsory health delaration form with accurate and true information. They must report immediately to functional forces about their guests from COVID-19 affected areas to enable appropriate measures to be taken to reduce the risk of re-introduction or importation of SARS-CoV-2 from them into the city.
