Two more wet markets close in Da Nang, Man Thai market reopens
The Son Tra District authorities have imposed a temporary closure order on the Nai Hien Dong wet market in the namesake ward from 0am on July 29 until further notice as part of local authorities’ ongoing efforts to control the spread of COVID-19 in light of the Delta variant.
In a similar move, the Bac My An wet market has been forced to shut from 4pm today, July 29, until further notice by the Ngu Hanh Son District authorities after a positive case was identified.
Temporary closures of the two markets aims to allow time for all stallholders tested, and to have the deep cleaning for the prevention of COVID-19.
The Man Thai wet market in the namesake ward was allowed to reopen at 0am on July 29.
Man Thai and An Hai Dong wet markets are required to operate at 50 percent capacity to allow space for social distancing among stallholders. In addition, only stalls selling essential goods are allowed to remain open in the two venues, and their operators must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result.
Disinfectant sprays will be carried out in the two markets and COVID-19 tests will be offered to all stallholders there in accordance with guidelines for infection prevention and control from the municipal government.
