Da Nang opens more mobile essential food selling points

In order to meet a growing demand for essential food in the so-called “safe zones” which are free from COVID-19, the Phuoc My Ward People's Committee has given the green light to the opening of 4 temporary markets amid closures of some traditional markets after possibly being exposed to COVID-19 cases.

The temporary selling points are located at the Phan Boi Chau Junior High School at 1 Thach Lam; Phuoc My Market on My Khe 4 Street, a vacant lot of the former Ba Ky Market at 284 Nguyen Cong Tru and the Phuoc Thai restaurant at 16-18 Ho Nghinh, all off which are operating on August 14 and 15.

In particular, the temporary market at the former Ba Ky Market operates from 2:00pm -5:00pm daily. The rest of the sites are open during the daytime. 

The Ly Son Island One Member Company Limited, one of the two food supply units at the temporary markets, has put on the shelves 5 tonnes of Ly Son fresh scad, 400 kg of fried fish, 600 kg of onions and garlic, 200 kg of fish of all kinds, 2 tonnes of vegetables, 700 kg of pork, 100 cartons of milk of all kinds, 400 kg of chicken, 150 kg of duck meat, 400 kg of pork bones, 100 kg of beef buds , 160 kg of beef tenderloin and 1,000 blisters of chicken eggs.

Locals to the above-mentioned trading sites must strictly adhere to the 5K recommendations of the Ministry of Health, namely khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering), and khai bao y te (health declaration) to prevent the spread of the virus.
