Da Nang to develop 80 key projects for 2021 – 2025

At the second session of the Da Nang People's Council (PC) in its 10th tenure for the 2021 - 2026 term the PC delegates has unanimously approved a resolution on the list of 80 key projects, creating a driving force for the city’s socio-economic development in the 2021 - 2025 period.

In detail, there will be 50 investment projects funded by the national and municipal budgets, 4 will use the funding covered by national ministries and agencies and 26 will be developed by private businesses.

The 50 projects, worth a total of VND39,046 billion funded by the national and municipal budgets, must match the adjustments to the Da Nang Master Plan for its majjor developments by 2030, with a vision towards 2045, ensuring connectivity, creating a firm foundation for investment attraction in the construction of infrastructure systems, and formulating proper public investment plans.

The implementation of projects funded by national ministries and agencies is in line with the spirit of Resolution No. 43/NQ-TW dated January 24, 2019 of the Politburo on the construction and development of Da Nang to 2030, with a vision towards 2045.

The projects using investors' capital are response to ‘The year of promoting investment attraction' landmark campaign.

Regarding the criteria for selecting the above-mentioned key and motivational projects, they must be consistent with the municipal and regional socio-economic development strategies and plans, creating new development space and new motivations and capacities, promoting the Da Nang development in the direction of civilization, modernity and sustainability. They must be urgent technical and social infrastructure projects, solving pressing problems that have greatly affected the people's lives, with a focus on natural disaster and epidemics prevention, climate change mitigation, environmental protection and social security.
