Following the Da Nang government’s official dispatch, Da Nang-sourced fishing vessels are allowed to dock at Son Tra District-based Tho Quang Fishing Wharf with some restrictions in place.

In detail, all crew members onboard these boats must be subject to COVID-19 testing and mandatory quarantine requirements in line with the current COVID-19 prevention and control regulations upon the cargo unloading.

Only one crew member who test negative for the coronavirus is allowed to be onboard to take care of the vessel.

Such ship caretakers are granted with paper-based permits by the ward-level administration for their travel from home to the dock.

The Authority of Tho Quang Fishing Wharf is responsible for ensuring good practice of COVID-19 control measures at the site.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development must coordinate with the municipal Border Guard High Command to monitor fishing boats which are operating in the national waters to make preparatory plans on their anchorages, the loading and unloading of cargos.

The wharf, the first of its kind in Central Viet Nam, was temporarily closed down on July 26 until further notice, following the detection of a cluster of COVID-19 infections here.
