Innovative solutions welcomed at ongoing UAVS Hackatrix

The United Associations of Vietnamese Students in Australia’s New South Wales (UAVS-NSW) has launched its IT idea competition UAVS Hackatrix ‘Fix the Glitch’ 2021.

The
UAVS Hackatrix features ideas involved in 4 industries: Healthcare, Finance, Mechatronis and Service.

UAVS Hackatrix is an international programming and software development tournament made for the young and inspired Vietnamese students across regions and states of Viet Nam and Australia to create disruptive solutions and bring new innovation to tackle the world’s problems.

The event is open to all senior high school graders, tertiary graduates and postgraduates.

Competitors compete in teams, each team consisting of 2 to 5 people. The location of the majority of the team members’ education institutions determines the state/region the team represents.

Under the competition’s rules, participating teams are require to develop innovative solutions that can tackle the “glitch” of many real-world business and organizations, specifically in the following 4 industries: Healthcare, Finance, Mechatronis and Service.

The preliminary round is underway from July 19 to August 15.

The Individual Registration will be closed on August 6.

The preliminary round results will be announced on August 23. Teams will then have until August 29  to complete the proposal for their projects. Top teams from each state/region will advance to the semifinals.

The Semi Final result will be announced on September 27

24-Hour Hackathon (offline): This round will occur on October 2. Finalists will spend 24 hours consecutively in designated venues to solve a specific case study provided by the judges in relation to the team’s products. After 24 hours, teams have 6 hours to rest and prepare for the final presentation in the ceremony.

As for Finale Gala (offline in Australia, online in Viet Nam), this round will occur on October 3. Finalists will pitch their solution in front of audiences. Judges will ask further questions regarding the presentation. At the end of the ceremony, the judges will have a final discussion and announce the competition results.

As part of the contest, the online workshop UAVS "Techtalk - Hello Future" is slated for August 7, gathering top-expert speakers to answer queries on the competition and provide latest IT trends.
