The Directorate for Roads of Viet Nam has already proposed that the Ministry of Transport direct the Viet Nam Expressway Development Investment Corporation (VEC), as soon as possible, to complete construction of the intersection of Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway and the 14B Highway in Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District.

Accordingly, VEC must direct road management units to regularly monitor and check the subsidence on the road surface at the accident-prone intersection in a bid to ensure traffic safety and deal with violations in road exploitation.

Many damages such as wheel ruts with a depth of 25 mm and big potholes have been detected on the road surface of a section of the National Highway 14B, causing difficulties and annoyance for road users and posing a potential risk of crashes here.

Up to now, there have been many documents requesting VEC to urgently overcome the above shortcomings and soon complete the construction of the intersection. However, no upgrade has yet to be conducted here, and damage on the National Highway 14B may get worse.
