The Da Nang Police Department has just updated the list of food items that are on display for sale at 30 venues across the city on Saturday, August 28, to ensure sufficient and timely food supplies for all locals.

Accordingly, it is slated that meat, fish, eggs, root, tuber and leaf vegetables, and dried food are sold at each point with 160 kg of pork and pork bones, 33 chickens, 8 ducks, 2,400 eggs, 200 kg scad and flying fish, 600 kg tubers and fruits and lots of dried foods.

Specifically, the price per kg of pork (ham, belly, shoulder blade) is set at VND125,000, whilst pork bones of all kinds at VND105,000, chicken at VND90,000, and duck at VND70,000. Flying fish is offered at VND40,000 /bag of 2kg; scad at VND70,000 /bag of 2kg, VND22,000 charged for 10 chicken eggs, VND 20,000 for a bag of 50 quail eggs.

Vegetables of all kinds such as malabar spinach, katuk, morning glory and water spinach are free of charge. Some types of root and tuber vegetables, including gourd, papaya and cassava roots, are priced at VND10,000 /kg.

As for dried foods, A-one instant noodles is sold at VND140,000 /carton, rice VND136,000 /10kg bag, fish sauce VND10,000 /bottle of 800ml, A-one MSG VND26,000 /pack of 459g, iodized salt VND3,500 /pack of 0.5kg, Meizan cooking oil VND 38,000 /bottle.

Sweet Pasteurized fresh milk is set at VND30,000 /lot, Brothers sweetened condensed milk VND 16,000 /can, G7 3in1 instant coffee VND40,000 /box of 23 packs.

According to the plan, the city police is running 30 mobile selling points with 10 in Hai Chau District, 9 in Thanh Khe District, 6 in Cam Le District and 5 in Lien Chieu District.

As for Hai Chau District, mobile sales points are set at the Le Duan-Tran Phu intersection at the western end of the Han River, in front of the Con Market,the DaNang University of Technology and Education, the Triangle Park on Dong Da Street and the Blooming building on Xuan Dieu Street, at Thanh Nien (Youth Union) Park on Le Thanh Nghi Street, on the pavement at the Le Thanh Nghi – April 30 intersection, the Central Load Dispatch Centre, “Me va Be” Kindergarten and Le Dinh Duong Park.

In Thanh Khe District, there are mobile sales points at the Bo Tung Xeo Restaurant, Phu Loc Market; the headquarters of the Hoa Khe Ward People's Committee, 182 Nguyen Dinh Tuu, Chinh Gian Ward’s Community House, a amusement park near Thac Gian Lake; the Big C Mall campus, the Tran Cao Van Primary School, and the Xuan Ha Community’s House.

Regarding Cam Le District, food and essential items are on sale at the Hoa Cam Market, the Cam Le District’s Cultural and Sports Centre, the Hoa An and Hoa Phat markets, in front of the Hoa Xuan Stadium, and Thanh Nien (Youth Union) Park on Xuan Thuy Street.

As for Lien Chieu District, the designed sales points are operated at the Dolphin Restaurant, the Nguyen Van Troi Primary School, the Hoa Khanh Market; at the end of Nguyen Tat Thanh Street in Hoa Hiep Nam Ward and in front of the V petrol station on Nguyen Van Cu Street.

In the coming days on which the stay-at-home order is still in force, the Da Nang authorities must continue to well meet the public needs of essential goods and accompany the city in the tough battle against the virus resurgence.
