Da Nang Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control announced Monday that more checkpoints have been set up to conduct rapid antigen tests for all people entering the city.

In detail, two checkpoints have been established at the Da Nang dedicated IT Park located in Hoa Lien Commune, Hoa Vang District, and another one on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street in Hoa Quy Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District.

Two healthcare workers, one person in charge of the IT and computer, and along with one police officer are assigned to staff the checkpoint.

Antigen rapid testing is introduced to screen all people entering Da Nang, and swift action will be taken to isolate those who test positive for COVID-19. These positive cases will be then transferred to district-level medical centres to get RT-PCR tests to confirm the SARS-CoV-2 infection and receive treatment. Arrivals will be allowed to enter Da Nang only after receiving a negative test result.

In addition, checkpoints at entry points have been re-organized into 5 locations, namely on Hoa Nhon and Hoa Phuoc communes, Tran Dai Nghia Street, Nam Hai Van bypass, on the extended Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, and DT605 Road.
