Da Nang enterprises ramp up promotion of production and trade activities
The further easing of social distancing measures approved by the Da Nang administration which allows businesses to increase the number of employees being present at work from 30% to 70% from September 16, has contributed to removing difficulties facing businesses in terms of labour resource needs and production operations.

Bustling work ambiance
As recorded in the Da Nang Industrial Park (IP) based in Son Tra District on Thursday morning, many businesses intensifed their workforce to increase production. It is known that this IP has become a ‘green zone’ with 100% of enterprises returning to operation,. Till date, more than two thirds of the total nearly 7,000 workers involved in production at enterprises have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
At the Da Nang branch of Scavi Hue company in Da Nang, one of the enterprise with the largest number of workers in the Da Nang IP with a workforce of more than 700 people, 70% of the workers have returned to work. A bustling work ambiance was recorded here with production activities taking place at a fast pace.
Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Quyen, a factory worker, expressed her joy with her comeback to work after having stayed at home for more than one month in line with the recent ‘shelter-in-place’ mandate applied to the city’s population.
According to Mr. Phan Ngoc Tuan, the factory manager of Scavi Hue Branch in Da Nang, not only businesses but also employees are very happy to be back to work. Everyone here is striving to increase labour productivity to compensate ‘a long hiatus’ in the months of June, July and August 2021.
During the pre-pandemic time, the company secured a monthly output of more than 1.7 million products for export to the US, Europe, Japan, South Korea and other countries as well as for consumption in the domestic market.
Up to now, more than one thirds of the company’s workers have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines. In the coming time, the company will try to ensure 100% of the workers receiving the first dose. Focus will be placed on continuing to strictly implement COVID-19 prevention measures because this is a key factor to maintain production activities at the company”, Mr. Tuan said.
Meanwhile, the Trung Khoa Company Limited in the Da Nang IT has resumed operations with 70 employees assigned at work. According to the company’s Director Nguyen Thi Thinh, the business was busy completing orders for partners in Japan, the US, Europe and other parts of the world.
From now until the end of the year is the peak time for production, so the business’s leaders has recommended workers concentrate on production as soon as they return to work at the full potential.
For the time being, the so-called ‘3- on- the- spot” (on-site production, on-site dining, on-site rest) approach is being put in place.

Complying with safety regulations against COVID-19
Highly aware of keeping all staff members safe, businesses have always paid heed to thoroughly implement safety measures against COVID-19.
According to Mr. Nguyen Trong Cuong, Director of the Da Nang Industrial Park Infrastructure Development and Exploitation Company, the governing body of the Tho Quang Seafood Service and Hoa Khanh IPs, on the morning of September 16, workers started coming back to work IPs.
More than 95% of the businesses based in the Tho Quang Seafood Service and Hoa Khanh IPs have returned to work with great excitement.
After several months of having to reduce production and capacity due to the prolonged social distancing, many businesses are accelerating towards the goal of achieving the plans set for this year.
Till date, nearly 90% of employees working in the Da Nang Hi-tech Park and Industrial Zones have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines, and also encouragingly, the pandemic situation in the city has been controlled. These are two important factors which prompted the municipal administration to expand production activities and increase the number of employees to 70% at work.
