Da Nang steps up development of housing development programme
Da Nang is one of the Vietnamese localities to have effectively implemented housing development programmes. To concretize the goals under the Da Nang Housing Development Programme wwith a vision towards 2030, the municipal administration has focused on creating mechanisms and policies to mobilise as many resources as possible and build up a residential land fund.

According to a report recently released by the Da Nang People's Committee on the construction, management and use of apartments, a combined total of 11,121 social housing and resettlement apartments, shop-houses, workers' housing units have till date been put into use citywide. Of this, 9,990 apartments are now for lease.
For the time being, the development of 8 social housing apartment projects developed by private investors is progressing, with a combined total of 6,573 apartments, of 3,432 have been put into operation, whilst the rest are under construction.
Prominent amongst these projects are a building at the end of Bach Dang Dong rout developed by the VicoLand Group with 669 apartments, the An Trung 2 low-income apartment building and the Blue House 1 project jointly developed by the Duc Manh Corporation and the 579 Civil Engineering and Investment JSC with 957 and 725 apartments, respectively, a social housing apartment complex in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park developed by the Green Reality Saigon Thuan Phuoc Corporation with 1,760 units. The Saigon - Da Nang Investment Corporation has started the construction of a social housing project in the Bau Tram Lakeside urban area with 1,549 apartments.
Besides, the city has given the priority to developing many new social housing projects funded by the state budget. The Tan Tra low-income apartment project located in Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, consisting of 163 apartments, is expected to reach completion by late this year.
Meanwhile, the handling of necessary procedures are now in progress for the construction of 160 resettlement apartments in Khe Can area, Thanh Khe Tay Ward, Thanh Khe District.
In the coming time, work will start on 2 new projects, namely a VND320 billion, 400-unit social housing apartment building for those who made meritorious services to the national revolution and the second stage of a social housing project in the Hoa Cam Industrial Park with a scale of 600 apartments at an estimated cost of VND 490 billion. The capital of these two buildings will be covered by the national budget.
Besides, the city will call for investment into 3 social housing projects totalling about VND2,815 billion VND with a sum of about 3,450 apartments, namely a social housing project in Hoa Hiep 4 Resettlement Area, Lien Chieu District, with a scale of 1,500 apartments and a total capital of VND1,224 billion, and similar ones in the residential land planning area No. 3 and No.5 in Zone B of a residential area to the south of Cam Le Bridge with 750 and 1,200 apartments, respectively and a cost of VND612 billion and VND979 billion
With regard to the housing development plans for the 2021 - 2025 period, 60,890 houses will be built on a total area of 2,419 hectares with total investment capital of VND101,490 billion VND, of which 480 billion VND is funded by the State budget, VND58,680 billion is from businesses aand the rest is from local residents.
