Power restored to 99.83% of affected customers in central Viet Nam after storm Conson
The Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) has said that by 7:00 am on September 13, power has been restored to 99.83% of customers in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands after they lost connection on September 12 due to heavy rainfall brought by storm Conson.
Heavy rains have knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of customers across Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands. EVNCPC’s crews have worked around the clock to repair damage to turn the lights back on for affected customers. By the end of September 12, crews have restored electrical service to all affected homes in Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Kon Tum. In addition, electricity was brought back to 168,267 customers in the hardest- hit Quang Ngai in the morning of September 13.
Besides, the power was fully restored to 12,678 affected customers in Da Nang on Sunday, September 12, and crews expect to restore another 25 customers in the flooded area of Trung Son Village, Hoa Lien Commune, Hoa Vang District within today, September 13, as soon as the flooding situation improves.
