High hopes for large-scale tourism development projects
In recent years, Lien Chieu District has seen significant infrastructure upgrades and many large tourism projects have helped local residents enjoy higher standards of living. Specifically, the Water Park 365 entertainment complex at the US$100 million Da Nang – Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa project in Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District, started its operation in December 2020.
The integrated water park features many big pools and Onsen service that opens year-round for visitors to immerse themselves into joyful and relaxing moments.
In participial, there is an indoor slide pool where visitors can swim all day in the face of unfavorable weather patterns. Also next to the slide pool, a spectacular open-air stage with sparkling lights may catch visitors’ heed.
Besides, there are many luxury restaurants, bars, coffee shops next to the pool offering multiple options of food and drinks.
Da Nang Mikazuki Resorts and Spa is the brainchild of Mikazuki Hotel Group, which is a famous Japanese hospitality brand.
Vingroup officially held a kick-off ceremony of its 35,000 billion VND Lang Van resort and entertainment complex in March 2021. Developed by Vinpearl JSC, a member of VinGroup, this large scale project will cover an area of nearly 1,000ha in Hoa Hiep Bac Ward.
Once completed, the project is expected to offer luxury tourism experiences for travellers to Da Nang, develop a prestigious tourism service with its own identity, form a new architectural landmark for the city, create more employment for local residents and make a large contribution to the city budget.
People in Lien Chieu district have high hopes for the above-mentioned projects along with other large scale tourism development projects. Once fully operational, these projects are expected to help bring positive changes to Lien Chieu District, and they will play a vital role as a driving force for Da Nang’s economic growth.
Development opportunities in the northwest of Da Nang
A number of housing projects started in Lien Chieu District in April 2021. Included is Asiana Da Nang Apartment Project which is developed by Asiana Paramount Company Limited. Asiana is a luxury beachfront residential property situated at the end of Nguyen Tat coastal route in the north bay of Da Nang with panoramic sea and mountain views. The building comprises two towers - optimally arranged for maximum sea and mountain views - on a retail and amenities podium. Natural light and sea views are ensured for all apartments, while community spaces, a kindergarten and playgrounds are also provided. Several unique programs in the building include a shopping center, healthcare clinic and podium swimming pool terrace. With a height of 37 floors, the towers are the tallest in the district, a true landmark housing 487 apartments. The project is expected to be completed in 2023.
Especially, the Vietnamese Prime Minister on March 25, 2021 issued Decision No. 435 on approving an investment policy decision to the development of shared infrastructure in the Lien Chieu deep-sea mega-port project in Da Nang. The municipal People's Committee (PC) acts as the governance body for this large-scale landmark project.
Under the new Lien Chieu Port project, the shared infrastructure construction will feature piers and dykes, container terminals and warehouses, developing areas of transport and logistics, equipment used for loading and unloading operations, and transshipment services for an annual capacity of handling a combined total of 3.5 to 5 million tonnes of cargo.
Mr. Tran Phuoc Son, the Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, said that such large projects as Lang Van resort and entertainment complex, Thuy Tu Urban Area, the Lien Chieu Port will help bring a new look to Lien Chieu District, and what qualities the district possesses will make its worthy of the name in Da Nang- the modern northwest gateway of Da Nang.
