Da Nang opens first-ever shopping mart dedicated to workers in IP

The Trade Union organisation of Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones in partnership with the IP Food and Technology Joint Stock Company, on Saturday, opened the Union Mart for workers residing in the social housing apartment complex in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Lien Chieu District.

The Union Mart shows off more than 15 stalls selling a full range of fresh and dry food, and other essential consumer goods.

According to Chairman of the Trade Union organisation of Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Nguyen Thanh Trung, this shopping venue serves the needs of shopping for food and essential goods of good quality sold at stable prices for workers living in apartment buildings and neighbouring residential areas.

Mr. Hoang Trong Hoa, the Director of Union Mart, said that this shopping site is the first of its kind in Da Nang, and Central Viet Nam as a whole. “ We are committed to bringing good quality and safe food products with stable prices to customers”, said Hoa.

In the coming time, this mart’s managers will continue to cooperate with other partners and brands to organise many welfare programmes and preferential sales so that workers can enjoy good policies on product prices.

On this occasion, the municipal Labour Union presented 500 shopping vouchers worth VND100 million in total to workers facing difficult circumstances due to the economic impacts of COVID-19.
