The Da Nang Water Supply Joint Stock Company (Dawaco) plans to implement more development investment projects to increase the capacity of water plants across the city in the coming time to ensure water supplies to local dwellers.

Dawaco will increase the capacity of the An Trach Anti-Salinity Pumping Station.  Under the project, the daily capacity of sourcing water from the An Trach Dam located on Yen River will be increased from 210,000m3 to 420,000m3 for Cam Le District- based Cau Do (Red Bridge) Water Supply Plant.

Also, work will start on the installation of D1200 raw water pipeline to the Cau Do Water Plant and the daily capacity of Cau Do Water Plant will be raised from 290,000m3 to 390,000m3 after 2025. 

The above-mentioned projects were unveiled at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held by Dawaco on Friday.

The event was aimed at reviewing the company’s production and business results over the past 5 years and discussing plans announce key tasks for the 2021 – 2026 period.

After 5 years of equitization, Dawaco has maintains its growth rate in production and business, ensuring a year- on –year increase of profit year.

This company is one of the 17 enterprises in Da Nang to have make the way into a list of 1,000 enterprises paying the highest corporate income tax in Viet Nam in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020.

The meeting, in particular, approved the election of members for the Board of Directors (BOD) and Supervisory Board.

Mr. Ho Huong was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors whilst Mr. Dang Thanh Binh was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Ho Minh Nam took the post of the Dawaco General Director.
