Application of sharing economy in agricultural cooperatives
Ways to apply sharing economy model into cooperatives’ agricultural production by 2025 were discussed at a webinar on Wednesday, November 10.
The online event was co-organised by the Institute for Cooperative Economic Development under the Viet Nam Cooperative Alliance, and the Da Nang Cooperative Alliance.
During the event, participating specialists proposed many solutions to promote the application of sharing economy in cooperatives’ agricultural production and business activities, as well as the 4.0 technology applications to improve the value of agricultural products, income and quality of life for members of cooperatives.
Chairman of the Da Nang Cooperative Alliance Pham Cong Chinh highlighted the significance of applying information technology and digital technology in improving cooperatives’ agricultural productivity, thereby enhancing farmer livelihood, and reducing rural poverty.
“Currently, the Cooperative Alliance is coordinating with the Da Nang Information Technology Infrastructure Development Center to develop a project on boosting digital transformation in the activities of the collective economy and cooperatives in the coming time” added Chairman Chinh.
Representatives of a number of cooperatives in the city asked relevant agencies to provide cooperatives with useful knowledge, experience, specific models and solutions on the sharing economy in order to facilitate them to apply this smodel effectively.
