During her recent interview with DA NANG Newspaper, Ms. Le Thi Kim Phuong the Director of the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade revealed that the handling of all administration procedures are on track for the establishment of three new IPs, namely Hoa Ninh, Hoa Nhon and Hoa Cam (Phase 2).

Up to now, the local government has completed the announcement of infrastructure investment, price of land clearance and resettlement, number of resettlement lots and price ceiling.

Till date, the Authority of the Da Nang Hi-tech Park and Industrial Zones (DHPIZA) has advised the municipal People's Committee to submit the in-principle investment policy approval dossiers to the

Ministry of Planning and Investment for appraisal and then the Prime Minister for approval, in order to implement the next investor selection steps.

Meanwhile, the municipal authorities have now approved the 1:500 - scale detailed construction model for the formation of four ICs, namely Cam Le, Hoa Nhon, Hoa Khanh Nam and Hoa Hiep Bac.

Till date, about 90% of the site has been cleared up to make room for the development of the technical infrastructure at the first phase of the Cam Le IC funded by the municipal budget capital. The second phase is expected to be completed by late next year.

The municipal administration has approved the use of public investment capital for the compensation and clearance work for the development of the Hoa Nhon, Hoa Khanh Nam and Hoa Hiep Bac ICs.

Particularly, 80% of site clearance for the Hoa Nhon IC has been completed.

Da Nang is eying to become a hub of IT, hi-tech and supporting industries in the Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions and in Viet Nam as a whole with the ability of deeply penetrating into domestic and international supply chains.

In order to achieve this ambitious goal, importance will be attached to giving a face-lift to  supporting industries, processing and manufacturing industries with a focus on high tech content, high added value and environmentally friendly aspects.

In particular, priority will be given to production areas that are export-oriented or meet great consumption demand in Da Nang and the Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions in tandem with forming new ICs across the city in the coming time.

Regarding the development of industrial infrastructure system, in the immediate future, heed will be paid to perfecting the infrastructure system and promoting investment attraction for the Da Nang Hi-tech Park and the concentrated Da Nang IT Park Phase 1, withdrawing the previously-allocated land at projects whose construction have delayed or those deployed with improper purposes in expanded Hoa Khanh and Hoa Khanh IPs.

Also, the expanded Hoa Khanh, Hoa Khanh and Hoa Cam Phase 1 IPs will be upgraded into ecological ones in the near future.

Besides, steps will be taken to convert projects in the Da Nang Fisheries Service IP adjacent to neighborhoods into suitable commercial and service ones in order to create a safe distance between the production and the residence areas, transforming the existing Son Tra District-based Da Nang IP into an urban area, converting the expanded Thanh Vinh IC into a coach station north of the city and expanding the Ngu Hanh Son District-located Non Nuoc traditional stone carving handicraft village.

In addition to the formation of new IPs and ICs as mentioned above, the municipal administration is mulling over the building of technical infrastructure for Hoa Son split stone craft village and forming more food processing industries in Hoa Vang District.
