Da Nang gets ready to welcome back visitors
Da Nang tourism industry has taken proactive measures to rebound from COVID-19 in a flexible and safe way in order to adapt to the new normal, thereby supporting businesses to recover from the crisis and driving the city’s social and economic development.

On November 1, the Eden Hotel Danang located in My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District welcomed back its first domestic guests.
Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, the Director of the Eden Hotel Danang said that strictest health measures have been put in place in the hotel after the city transitioned to a new normal. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers and surgical masks are being placed at the entrance and exit points and public areas across the hotel. In addition, QR code sign-in system has been put into use in the hotel for visitor management, and staff members are on duty at entrance of the hotel to check body temperature of guests before they enter the venue.
In its efforts to attract domestic travellers, the Eden Hotel Danang has taken proactive action to find sources of domestic tourists, especially business guests travelling to Da Nang for conferences and seminars at the end of 2021. The hotel is also working with its partners to seek visitor sources from such international markets as Russia, China, South Korea, and Thailand.
Moreover, the hotel is co-ordinating with the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center to launch marketing campaigns to introduce it and local tourist attractions in an attempt to increase visitor numbers in Da Nang.
In a similar move, the Da Nang Mikazuki Resorts and Spa has offered special deals and and incentives to its customers. In its efforts to create the new visitor experience, the venue has upgraded its facilities and improved the quality of its services. In addition, Onsen Secret Japanese hot-spring minerals bath has reopened to the public. Moreover, indoor and outdoor water parks are under maintenance in order to reopen in early December.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, the Marketing and Sales Director of the ODK Mikazuki Vietnam Company Limited said happily that Mikazuki saw gradual increase in visitor numbers in October, and its room occupancy reached about 15%.
He believed that Da Nang is moving in the right direction in the fight against COVID-19, thereby helping the tourism industry recover quickly from the crisis. Da Nang is one of Viet Nam’s four localities given green light by the Vietnamese Prime Minster to welcome back international tourists.
Mr. Dinh Van Loc, the Director of the Viet Da Tourism Joint Stock Company remarked that many hotels and resorts are launching special discount on their services, and you will save even more, with savings up to 70%. He said that many of Viet Da’s customers were very satisfied with great services at such classy and high-end luxurious venues.
Da Nang Department of Tourism Deputy Director Nguyen Xuan Binh said that plans for the city’s swift tourism rebound in the new normal have been created in a proactive, adaptive and flexible way in an effort to ensure the safety of tourists, tourism workers and the community.
The focus will be on implementing 8 key tasks. Included are developing a roadmap to welcome back domestic and international tourists in a safe and effective way in the new normal amid COVID-19, introducing precautionary measures to hospitality and tourism establishments, upgrading facilities to improve guest experience, launching marketing campaigns to promote local tourist attractions, developing new tourist products, and promoting the development of marine tourism, luxury resorts, MICE tourism, inland waterway tourism and more.
Deputy Director Binh said that Da Nang tourism businesses are ready to welcome back international tourists. The Department of Tourism has received written requests to bring international travellers from such countries as South Korea and Taiwan to Da Nang.
He remarked that the city will create the most favourable conditions for travel agencies to welcome back international tourists but ensuring the safety of visitors and local residents after specific guidance for comeback of foreign guests from Viet Nam’s national government is issued.
