Thirteen businesses operating in Da Nang have been named among the top 1,000 corporate taxpayers (V1000) in Viet Nam to watch in 2020, according to a list compiled by the General Department of Taxation.

Da Nang’s honoured businesses are TERRA J.S.C, Da Nang-based Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) under state-run Electricity of Viet Nam, Da Nang Housing Development Investment JSC, Da Nang Rubber JSC, Dat Xanh Mien Trung JSC, Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Co. Ltd., Da Nang Port JSC, Mabuchi Motor Da Nang Co. Ltd., Crown Da Nang Beverage Packaging Co. Ltd., Da Nang Water Supply JSC, Ba Na Cable Car Service JSC, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation JSC (AHT) and Net Linkage Co. Ltd.

According to the General Department of Taxation, the enterprises in the list contributed a combined total of over VND145.93 trillion (US$6.31 billion) to the State budget, accounting for 62.4% of the total State revenue from corporate income taxes.

The Military-run Viettel, Viet Nam’s largest telecommunications company, has dominated the top 1,000 ranking list in 2020. Coming next, Vietcombank and Honda Viet Nam Company Limited have ranked in second and third place, respectively.

Ha Noi and HCM City took the lead with 109 and 134 taxpayers, respectively. Their tax contributions accounted for 43.26 per cent and 29.81 per cent of the total. It was followed by the provinces of Dong Nai, Vinh Phuc and Binh Duong.

This is the fifth year the tax authority have published the V1000 biggest taxpayers on the basis of their tax contribution.
