Da Nang is now to accelerate the implementation of key projects serving as its economic growth levers next year. Priority will given to promoting infrastructure construction, especially in line with the Prime Minister approved adjustments to the Da Nang Master Plan for its major developments by 2030, with a vision towards 2045.

As of October 31, the disbursement rate in Da Nang had reached 64.5% of the full-year plan assigned by the municipal People's Council, higher than the figure recorded in the same period last year.

Since the start of this year, a number of key projects and construction works have recorded a construction progress and a high disbursement value. Notable among them are the Da Nang Hi-tech Park, the expansion of the APEC Park, the traffic infrastructure improvement project at the western end of the Tran Thi Ly Bridge, the upgrade of DT 601 road, Cau Do - Tuy Loan riverside road, and the building of bridge over the Co Co River.

As for new large-scale projects, Da Nang’s functional local agencies are striving to make preparations for starting construction work as soon as possible. Focus is placed on completing adjustments to the Da Nang International Airport Master Plan in the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision towards 2050.

The Da Nang government is closely coordinating with national ministries and agencies to start work on the construction of the shared infrastructure at the Lien Chieu Port, the upgrading of passenger terminal T1 at the Da Nang International Airport, and the selection of consultants to prepare a pre-feasibility study report for the relocation of the current Da Nang railway station out of the city centre (Phase I).

Accordingly, under the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period, Da Nang needs nearly VND59,500 billion worth of capital, of which more than VND53,800 billion is from the municipal budget and over VND5,600 billion is provided by the national budget.

In 2022, Da Nang will join forces with national agencies to deploy a number of key national infrastructure investment projects of inter-regional significance such as the Da Nang University Village urban area project, the upgrading of national highways runing through the city including 14B, 14D and 14G and the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan section of the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway.
