Suggestions collected for mapping out Da Nang's draft master plan with vision towards 2050

The Da Nang Union of Science and Technology Associations on Monday held a seminar ‘Consultation on Da Nang’s draft master plan for the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision towards 2050’.

Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh attended the event. Former Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal Union of Science and Technology Associations Vo Cong Tri, and a member of the national government's Economic Advisory Group for the 2016 - 2021 term, Ph.D. Tran Du Lich co-chaired the workshop.

The event saw 15 presentations from researchers and managers, the member units of the municipal Union of Science and Technology Associations with many suggestions and orientations for sustainable urban and regional linkage development, solutions to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector, urban traffic improvement and investment attraction.

The fields of culture, society, labour and employment were taken into account such as ideas on building a cultural and civilised urban lifestyle in association with creating a driving force for urban economic and human resource development.

In addition to the aforementioned presentations, the seminar also witnessed active discussions on identifying solutions for a comprehensive socio-economic development by 2030, with a vision towards 2050 based on the approved planning outline.

Addressing the event, former Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, Chairman of the municipal Union of Science and Technology Associations Vo Cong Tri affirmed that the opinions presented at the event showed the responsibility and enthusiasm for the sake of the city’s development in the new period.

The event’s organisers will send the opinions to consulting units so that the can make proper adjustments and supplementations to the master plan with vision towards 2050.
