Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Tran Phuoc Son on Thursday highly appreciated a proposal made by the Authority of Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zone (DHPIZA) and consultants on the building of the Hoa Ninh Industrial Park in an eco-smart one in the coming time.

The aforementioned proposal totally matches the city’s orientation towards building an eco-smart city and investment attraction.

The city leader affirmed that this is a typical IP model for the city to deploy the next industrial zones and clusters as well as a roadmap to gradually transform the existing industrial parks and industrial clusters nationwide into eco-smart ones in the time ahead.

The construction of this eco-smart IP must be in combination with appeals for investments flows into green production with a reduction in carbon emissions and digital transformation to create high added values.

In this eco-smart city park, there must be housing areas dedicated to workers, kindergartens, training areas, green spaces, natural forests, parks, amusement parks, entertainment, the production and use of renewable energy, technical infrastructure and smart utilities, factories and warehouses for lease that apply LEED environmental standards. Also, the industrial symbiosis model and the increase in the land use coefficient must be carried out. These orientations are expected to attract many investors, and high quality human resources.

Vice Chairman Son suggested that the DHPIZA cooperate with the Office of the Da Nang People's Committee and relevant local agencies to map out a schedule of establishing the Hoa Ninh eco-smart IP, with a focus on completing bidding procedures and selecting the investor of the Hoa Ninh IP project within this year.

The project covers a total area of more than 400ha in Hoa Ninh Commune, Hoa Vang District, next to the housing zone for experts working at the Da Nang Hi-tech Park.
