The Da Nang Department of Construction has just issued compulsory temporary guidance on construction activities across the city in a bid to ensure safe, flexible adaptation to and effective control of COVID-19.

Under the newly-adopted regulation, the deployment of construction activities must strictly comply with all mandatory safety measures against COVID-19.

All construction workers must follow the 5K protocols: khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering) and khai bao y te (health declaration), and have their personal QR codes for medical declarations as well.

Meanwhile, investors, project managers, construction contractors, supervision consultants and related units on duty at the construction site must fully obey regulations and instructions on COVID-19 prevention and control.

With regard to construction projects that require the preparation of economic and technical reports or the formulation of construction investment plans, random and regularly-scheduled testing for SARS-CoV-2 for workers operating at the construction site must be conducted.

Also, a steering board for COVID-19 prevention and control at the construction site must be established, comprising representatives of investors and contractors and medical workers.

COVID-19 prevention and control facilities, including tents at the construction site, must be set up in correspondence with COVID-19 risk levels.
