The Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade is urging authorities of wet markets across the city to strengthen anti-virus measures amid a spike in COVID-19 cases.

The focus must be on adhering to the city’s COVID-19 guidelines. Using a QR code for COVID-safe check-in and strict compliance with the 5K recommendations of the Ministry of Health are compulsory for entry into wet markets.

All market stallholders are required to sign a commitment to follow COVID-19 safe and health protocols, and they will face strictest penalties for non-compliance.

All market stallholders are required to wear face masks properly, use alcohol based hand rubs to disinfect their hands regularly, and avoid gatherings altogether to eat a meal.

Getting a rapid test for COVID-19 every 3 days is recommended for all market stallholders, and they must pay for COVID-19 testing.

Attention must be given to using loudspeakers, banners, slogans and other visual displays to promote adherence to COVID-19 rules among market stallholders and patrons. In addition, heed must be paid on strengthening of the enforcement of public health measures in a bid to prevent the spread of the virus.
