Nearly VND60 billion for expanding many Da Nang streets from 3.75m to 5.5m
Following fresh approval by the Da Nang People's Committee, a total of nearly VND60 billion from the municipal budget will be spent on the first phase of a pilot project to expand streets from 3.75m as currently to 5.5m in the districts of Son Tra, Lien Chieu, Ngu Hanh Son and Hai Chau.
The objective of the project is to create favourable conditions for people's travel, improve the local infrastructure and ensure the easy access of fire engines once incidents occur.
The expansion is planned to involve the construction of drainage facilities, the planting of green trees, water supplies, the relocation of electricity transmission and telecommunications cables and security cameras, along with traffic arrangement.
In Son Tra District, streets with a total length of about 844.2m will be expanded at a cost of VND13.2 billion.
In Lien Chieu District, VND14.4 billion will be spent on the expansion of a total route length of about 981m comprising Hoa My 2, 3, 4 and 5 and Dong Tri 1, and a section connecting Dong Tri 1 with Ly Chinh Thang.
In Ngu Hanh Son District, VND18.4 billion will be used to upgrade a total of about 1,305m of streets, namely My Da Dong 5, An Thuong 19, and Son Thuy 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.
In Hai Chau District, a total investment of VND13.9 billion will be spent on expanding Nguyen Van To, Dinh Cong Trang, Huynh Ly and Hoang Tich Tri with a total length of about 955m.
The expansion works will be developed by the Da Nang Management Board of Construction and Investment Projects for Agriculture and Rural Development in the 2021 – 2023 period.
