Following recent approval by the Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and the Environment, organisations and individuals can access loans at a fixed preferential interest rate of 3.6%/year throughout the maximum loan term of five years from the Da Nang Environmental Protection Fund in 2022 to carry out any environmental protection projects across the city this year.

Under the rules, the maximum loan amount shall be 70% of the total project investment capital, but no more than VND2.2 billion for one project and not surpass VND4.5 billion for one investor.

Projects eligible for the preferential loans must involve in the field of pollution control with the treatment of domestic solid waste, wastewater treatment, medical waste, sludge and dust emissions from factories producing steel, cement, seafood processing, environmental treatment services such as solid waste and  coastal wastewater collection and transportation, the production and trade in environmentally- friendly products, recycling activities, substitute products, the development of craft villages, production facilities active in the highly-recommended industries, water and air environment monitoring systems, the application of environmentally-friendly technologies, cleaner production, energy saving and renewable energy production.
